  1. Happy Three Kings Day (Día de los Reyes Magos) to those who celebrate!

  2. We’re making shepherd’s pie for three kings this year.

I BBQ the lamb first and then chop it up. So I was out on the barbie in the rain and then spent a bunch of time deboning chops and cutting it all up (with lots of help). We now have a huge amount of filling ready to go.

  3. Part of the difficulty is when you have no point of reference. No one you know who’s been through the same.

If this is something you’re going through (or have been through recently) and want to talk about it, my DMs are open.

  4. One thing I’ll remember for a long time is when a lm obstetrician sat my wife and I down in a hallway and told us that we had to “get used to the idea that you’re going to have a premature baby”.

It can be rough (born at 30 weeks), but we have been incredibly lucky.

  13. Tomorrow I’m going to see #TheCatEmpire play in Granada and complete a “collection” that I never thought I would.

I will have seen them play in each of the five cities I’ve lived in, across more than two decades:
    - #Melbourne (of course)
    - #London
    - #Barcelona
    - #Berlin
    - #Granada

  15. I’m pretty sure that I’m talking to a skewed audience here, but anyway:

Did you “formally” learn to type? As in, with software / a teacher or instructor?

If you can add a generation or general age indication in with your answer, that would be useful too.

  22. Is there a #rust crate that provides an "async timer"?

Basically a future wrapper that records the total busy and idle times of the future it wraps and then returns those times together with the ready result of the wrapped future.
