  1. #sculptober day 7, the prompt is geometric, and I used up half of my allotted hour for this on a wrong turn, not having enough time to scrub it and start again… this was the sculpt equivalent of that religious painting restoration. Never mind, tomorrow is another day and prompt.

Shame I couldn’t work out how to get Nomad to show sharp edges and not try to smooth them. 😔

  2. Day 6 of #sculptober, again only had about 20 minutes before bed for this one, so kind of fell into this interpretation of fractured.

  3. Day 5 of #sculptober and the prompt is Infernal. Ended up only having 15 minutes to get this done so went super simple.

  4. Day 4 of #sculptober and the prompt is wild. I tried to do a wolf, I actually think if I had more than an hour to spend on this I might get quite a nice wolf… if I had ten hours anyway 😂

  5. Day three of #sculptober and the prompt is puppet. This is awful, but I’m doing this to force me to use nomad for at least 30 minutes a day, even if it’s this bad.

  6. Day 2 of #sculptober, the prompt is elegant, and I had less than an hour and no skill, so I went with an elegant candlestick!

  7. In some hopeless assumption I might be able to sculpt half decent models by the end of it, I’ve started #sculptober! My heart dropped when I saw the prompt for day one was mermaid. Anyway, one hour later…

  8. Now for #On1PhotoRaw which has a very nice interface, and actually supports importing catalogues from Lightroom.

I have maybe given the most time to this, and far more than maybe I should have. I really wanted this to be the one, but continously struggled to get the look I wanted.

Also it sure did like to eat my CPU when cataloguing endlessly, mainly keyword AI which wasn't helpful.

  9. It looks like my dream of swapping #Lightroom for #On1PhotoRaw is over, not only did importing all my photos result in things looking very different (this is a composite image showing both images, you can see On1 has lost a lot of detail and the colour balance is awful) but even if I reset the image and try to recreate the same look I can’t manage it, and everything has horrible fringing. 10. Subscribed for a year to #OctoApp, because it supports both my #Octoprint and #Klipper printers.

I like it so far!! The live updates on the Lock Screen are particularly cool.

  11. No I will not shake! I will sit on the step instead whilst you get wet! #FinnishLapphund

  12. This is what Suvi the #FinnishLapphund does when you stop stroking her…

    …and it works every time

  13. I am loving #Danger5, the first episode was hard to follow with all the different spoken languages, but they reduced that in the second episode, and the third really feels like it's found it's feet. Also... a #Vectrex turned up!

"And of course, as always, kill Hitler!”

  16. The retro magazine overload continues! #Amtix joins the party today… #Amstrad #RetroGaming

  17. Read about this in the latest #AmstradCPC #Amtix magazine and this sounds like wire with a resistor in series with it.

Did anyone buy one of these for what would have cost £142 in todays' money? 8 bit devices were generally not CMOS and heavily shielded, so the thought of spending that much on 50p's worth of components feels like spending £1000 on a hifi speaker cable.

Maybe that's just the right amount of money to disuade you from looking what is inside the box in case you broke it?
