Happy Nine Inch Noize Day to all who celebrate!
Nine Inch Nails and Boys Noize - Nine Inch Noize (2026)

Revisiting this album from my 2018 AOTY list, looks like this was the last thing the band did, which is a shame. Don't let the pretty title fool you - so doom, thick gloom, wow.

I started this album the other day (first listen ever) and enjoyed disc 1 so much I started it over again today, I might just repeat disc 1 a few more times before getting to disc 2....

I'm a big fan of Damien Jurado's Maraquopa trilogy (and the 1st is one of my all-time favourite albums), so this is interesting - an album that reworks tracks from across the original albums, 10+ years later. Generally less moody and more chill, with some more...danceable?

Ooo this book looks great, released yesterday. I just happened to pick up Bertei's 33 1/3 volume on Sinéad O'Connor's Universal Mother a week or two ago though I didn't know the name.
No New York: A Memoir of No Wave and the Women Who Shaped the Scene by Adele Bertei (2026)

Revisiting this album from my 2018 AOTY list. I hadn't forgotten that this album was good, but I forgot just *how* good it is. :ablobjam:
Sons of Kemet - Your Queen Is a Reptile (2018)

Homework for an upcoming blog post brought me to this experimental project from Holger Czukay and friend Rolf Dammers, recorded just after CAN was formed. And then I found out CAN was originally called "Inner Space", which makes me wonder if "Can" was derived from this album name... :ablobthinking:
Edit: AND original pressing label says "An Inner Space Production". 🤓
