It's not a new thing to be asked but aren't eco-systems so cool!? The way waste, nutrients and resources are passed around to benefits everyone is so fascinating!
This is my oldest aquascape! A mossy terrain with blade grass growing in between the rocks. It's established, meaning I don't have to baby it. It has a large population of tiny little shrimp. It filters most of it's own waste, keeps the water clean and everyone is fed.
