Something that surprised me when I looked at the data properly:
Only 17–38% of pages cited in AI search results also rank in Google's top 10.
The two ranking systems are nearly independent of each other. Good Google rank does not predict AI citation. Different signals, different selection logic.
Most SEO tools measure one of these. Almost none measure both.
