Continuing my vacation after #PGConfEU in #Riga I'm now in #Tallinn after travelling here with some collegues.

It's a rainy day, but that empties the streets, and makes it easier to enjoy (and make pictures of) the fantastic buildings and parks here.

Departed on time from Warszawa Centralna.

Next stop: Mockava (Lithuania), for a change onto the train to Vilnius. This route has no direct trains yet: Lithuania has the soviet track gauge while Poland uses standard gauge, and there are no dual-gauge trains on the route.

There is good hope however that in 5 years #RailBaltica will start service on the more common 'standard gauge'. Track building has started across the Baltic states, and the first rails have already been laid down in Lithuania.

It looks like we'll have more performant queries on the same (btree) indexes in the next major PostgreSQL release!
