I don't know what I could possibly say about this one that is not answered in the description or communicated through the title.
Having seen the conversation about the actual thesis work on ElixirForum I'm also technically curious.

Days working on the Sentry SDK and the rest of the time spent thinking about and working on agents. Peter Solnica is an OG in the Ruby community, has been doing Elixir for a long time now and will be bringing his perspectives on coding agents and Elixir.

We were very selective about AI and agent talks for Goatmire, we think you'll find the ones we picked interesting whether you appreciate the bots or not.

Get your Nerves device onto Home Assistant. Kevin Schweikert has been brewing a special batch of Elixir nerd catnip. People will get silly on this stuff. I already have several devices up and running with Homex. Get your dashboards ready!

Rather than using "AI" you can actually _do_ AI/ML. The math, the code, the whole thing. Way fancier than writing text prompts.
Alvise is coming to Goatmire to show you how with a proper ML workshop.

Sam Aaron's presentations on Tau5 and Sonic Pi at Goatmire last year were incredibly popular. So when we set up the workshops that was top of the list. And we have space for a whole bunch of people.

Lots of good candidates coming up for the Erlang Ecosystem Foundation board seats. Get me some good buddies up in here. Make your voices heard. Because you are a member right? Otherwise. First step. Become member. Second step, vote.

There is something about maps.. The entire program committee was weird levels of unanimously interested in this hands on map talk.

"Another late-night emergency call. Same client as last week. .. This can’t be an unbounded query or a caching blunder, it’s bigger than that."
They return. Another mystery, another investigation for the Oban detectives.

This one is about radios.
Peter sent this one in and I'm glad he did though he has been needled about it ever since by his peers in the program committee. As it should be.

Avoiding the "It was DNS" while still figuring out what's going on in a massive scale DNS system.
Nelson Vides brings us a phenomenal topic and some good crunchy BEAM observability.

The NervesConf US 2024 videos are available thanks to good hustle by Alex McLain and John Cotton.
This includes Powell Kinney's autonomous boat.

Goatmire Elixir speaker announcements begin with Evadne Wu.
"our design takes death seriously .. managed with dignity"
Evadne Wu consistently gives fascinating talks. We were very selective with what agent-oriented talks we accepted for Goatmire. She hit some really interesting points.

Everyone's favorites Numerical Elixirist, one Paulo Valente, is presenting on how he is bringing Nx to embedded devices in today's (fully remote) Nerves Meetup EU.
Join us. Lovely crew of Elixir enthusiasts with a bit of a hardware focus. But just a lovely time, every time.

If you are in Malaga for ElixirConf EU we hope you arrive one day early. We'll be doing the Elixir Unconference satellite event and our traditional Nerves hack session on the day before. Registration is shared so come to both/either. Read my thoughts on the blog, make a small donation to the EEF and come have fun!

A firmware is never small enough.
But we're getting pretty close. We've been improving deltas to remove unnecessary resources when delivering firmware with NervesHub. Available on a NervesCloud near you.
-
So glad to have this out. The new UI now covers the whole of NervesHub.
Now we use the full space of your display where it makes sense. Navigation is nicer. Lots more to improve but should be a good step up. And pinned devices is BACK.

From concepts to bright lights. Chris Dutton builds a DMX lighting controller with Nerves. His talk at NervesConf US is now available.

Yesterday's Nerves Meetup EU had a great talk by @fhunleth about his work on try_boot/autoboot. Automatic reverting of bad firmware on RPi is the point. The video is already up!

@hazelweakly that is quite counter-intuitive having spent a lot of time on Twitter and parsing many hashtags as blatant crappy marketing. #crushingit #blessed #todayilearned
Makes sense though :) -
This movie trailer for Wildwood looks interesting! 👀
Its by Laika Studios (makes stop-motion movies like Coraline) and is apparently based off a book by Colin Meloy.
