  1. At my new job, I’m developing C++ software for STM32 microcontrollers. Most of the legacy projects were built using CubeMX, resulting in business logic that is tightly coupled with HAL/LL calls; migrating these projects to a different family turns out to be problematic. As I understand it, CubeMX generally shouldn't be used for production code—it's really only suitable for rapid prototyping. I’d rather not write my own abstraction layer when solutions like Zephyr or modm already exist. I’d love to hear the opinions of experienced professionals in this field.
