Happy to announce that the Suggested Games feature is now live in #TempusGameIt. It should make connecting titles in your Steam catalog not yet in the TempusGameIt catalog a _lot_ smoother. After updating, run a scan and see what turns up!
As part of this update the catalog page also got a little bit of a facelift.
Read all about the changes here: https://blog.kevinbrill.com/2026/03/suggested-games-is-now-live.html
Download the app and start tracking your gameplay time here: https://tempusgameit.com

I’m not doing #Blaugust2024, but here's a post with instructions on how I configured my #GrowthBook install.

@kevinbrill @gothsong I'm pretty sure #Arkenstone has been the most populated for quite a while now, so it stands to reason a lot of the serious gamers would congregate there and get their world firsts together!

@kevinbrill @massivelyop when I think back over my years of playing MMOs, #riftgame was my absolute favorite. I played right at launch day, and saboteur is still the most fun I've ever had in any MMO ever.
Had a great group of friends there and played for about 18 months before life got too busy for MMOs for a while. Then they went free to play. I went back a couple of years ago. It's a pale shadow of what it once was and I couldn't stay long, too sad.

For the halibut, I'm going to install #SWTOR on this potato #Ubuntu laptop and see how it plays. It's nothing more than intellectual curiosity on how it will play under emulation.
It may also force me to come up with a solution to syncing up config folders with my windows machine as well, since I am not interested in setting everything back up on another machine.

I think I'm happy with how the info pop-out works. The goal is to give a quick tooltip explanation with a more detailed explanation available by clicking the info icon.
Here's a preview of how it looks for the "Needs Info" feature in #TempusGameIt.
Let me know what you think!

Forgot to mention that I took a break from the ceaseless questing in Umbar Baharbel in #LOTRO and played some #WorldOfWarcraft last night.
Did 4 hard prey and only feel asleep and died in a T11 delve once! It was a nice diversion from leveling in Umbar.
Still haven't quite figured out how I want to balance the two games yet going forward in the near term. May be a little more WoW in the next week or two, since I need to finish the May trading post.

It's Saturday hair salon time with my daughter, so that means it's time to hang out in the Fedi. And trying to push my way through something that is a slog in #TempusGameIt.

@skro @massivelyop I'm largely the same. If I've reached the point of playing an alt, it usually means I'm bored with what I doing on my main. Which means that typically it's time to move onto a different title for a while.
Rinse and repeat.
The only alt that I play regularly is a priest in #WorldOfWarcraft. They would be my main, but doing story/open world content is so slow on a priest. I accomplish main goals on my warrior now. Hurray for warbands.

Yes, I know it is an anti-pattern but I put a clickable “learn more” question mark icon in a tooltip that can pop off an info icon. But at least it won’t pop another tooltip, but a dialog.
A UI designer I am not.
