My turn to be mansplained and it was quite astonishing. Went to art club for the second time and met another new member. He had simple bamboo frames he made for his pictures and was explaining how he had made them. I asked, by way of politeness, if he had a table saw and he replied no, he made them out of strip wood with a tenon saw. He then explained in pretty much words of one syllable directly to me what a tenon saw and mitre block was (people, he doesn’t even clamp his mitre block). So I whipped out my phone and showed him a picture of my proxxon table saw and mitring jig and with a dismissive wave of the hand he smiled and said, ‘Oh you don’t need all that. Let me just explain to you how to do it.’ And then *repeated himself *.
Aaaargh.
