Today I found out about #cactuschat and it's great! I implemented it in my website, and made a quick post about it, you can read it here: https://gabmus.org/posts/switching_to_cactus_comments/
Thanks to @karmanyaahm and his latest blog post for making me learn about this!

YES! I finally found a Linux replacement for NVAlt - Notorious https://gabmus.gitlab.io/notorious/
This keyboard-centric note taking app is only at version 0.2, but already has most of the features I loved about NVAlt.
Thank you Gabriele Musco!

@stu Next to the standard apps, I use mainly:
#GNOMEpodcasts: https://apps.gnome.org/Podcasts/
GNOME Shortwave: https://gitlab.gnome.org/World/Shortwave
and @signalapp
Sometimes I use GNOME Dialect: https://apps.gnome.org/Dialect/
Sometimes #WhatIP: https://flathub.org/apps/org.gabmus.whatip
This all next to the standard apps as #Chatty, #Calls, Address book, alarm (Clock), Firefox, GNOME terminal, Camera (Millipixels) (I do not use this often). Weather.
I update flatpaks and system via terminal. I have #Nextcloud integration.

Gelly 1.1.0 is released! This turned out to be a much larger release than 1.0. First up: Gelly is no longer solely a #jellyfin client! #navidrome / #subsonic support was merged thanks to the skilled contributions of @_davd thank you! @gabmus merged in even more amazing UI work - including this cool album art blur effect (it can be turned off in preferences). Plus a slew of other features and fixes: https://github.com/Fingel/gelly/releases/tag/v1.1.0 #gnome #linux #music #selfhosted

Hey, @itsfoss posted about #HydraPaper! Always happy to see my apps featured in the wild 😄

I'm messing around with #pipewire, #wireplumber and #qpwgraph. Gotta say, the possibilities here are endless.
I renamed my devices to sensible names, and I created a virtual sink so that when I to stream games to my friends, I can have a much better time routing audio correctly.
(Routing directly from the game is tricky as most games stop playing audio when they go out of focus, disappearing from the graph)

@cassidyjames Not really what you're looking for, but for #giara I made a thingamajig that translates markdown into Pango markup. It should detect random links as well as far as I remember. It could be a good idea to have a proper GNOME/Gtk/Pango library to do this translation, given how ubiquitous markdown is.

@bleakgrey Got the same problem in #Giara, I think it has to do with the label being interactive (links or selection). It doesn't forward any events, so the back/forward mouse button mapping only works outside of labels. Glad to see that I'm not the only one experiencing this problem! Maybe we should open an issue in the #gtk repo?
Also #gtk4 for discoverability

Ok, I just pushed the huge #HydraPaper update to version 3.0.0, featuring #gtk4 and #libadwaita
I'm holding back the daemon feature as right now I don't think it's ready for mass adoption.
Still I'm expecting all hell to break loose very soon, so if you find any bugs, please bear with me as I try and fix them!
#Giara is the next app that will be updated soon, so stay tuned for that!

I'm back on track! I released #WhatIP 1.0 powered by #gtk4 and #libadwaita and so far everything looks good! Check it out if you want, you can find it on #flathub here: https://flathub.org/apps/details/org.gabmus.whatip
In other news, the new version of #HydraPaper again with gtk4 and libadwaita, as well as slideshow mode and monitor configuration change detection, is coming soon!

So apparently #libhandy became #libadwaita in #gtk4. Fortunately a quick sed worked flawlessly.

So yeah, go watch #InfinityTrain. It's lost media, so you might need to get a little creative on how to acquire it, but it's worth it.

Can anyone explain the advantages of using #dracut over #mkinitcpio on #arch #linux ? Assuming there are any of course
