Instinctivement, je me dis qu’un bon gros tas de déchets verts, c’est un cadeau fait à pas mal de petits animaux et organismes. Mais est-ce qu’en réalité c’est beaucoup plus compliqué que ça? Si vous êtes hyper balèze sur la question, j’avoue, ça nous intéresse de ouf. Parce que là, on est en mode chaud comme la braise pour remettre en état notre coin de verdure.
Les partages, relais et autres boosts de cette petite série de posts sont bien sûr acceptés.

On se pose pas mal la question pour les déchets de bois. Par exemple, est-ce qu’on peut balancer des grosses branches ou des troncs pas trop épais dans un tas de déchets végétaux? Moi, comme ça, j’aurais tendance à penser qu ’avec le temps, ça finit forcément par se décomposer, mais bon, peut-être que c’est une erreur, je ne sais pas.
Le truc, c’est qu’on ne cherche pas vraiment à produire du compost, en fait. Ou en tout cas, pas dans un délai rapide, ce monticule de déchets verts, ça ne nous dérange pas du tout de le laisser vivre sa vie pendant des années, sans rien faire d’autre que d’y ajouter toujours plus de déchets. Si au bout de plusieurs années, la partie basse se met à ressembler à un tas de compost utilisable, tant mieux, mais c’est vraiment pas un but en soi.

Niveau compost, on ne veut pas faire un truc hyper sioux, on veut juste faire un énorme tas, pas dans un bac, dans un coin du jardin où il ne dérangera pas. Au contraire, il servira de barrage vers la falaise qui surplombe notre jardin. L’idée, c’est de se dire que quand on aura des déchets de coupe qu’on ne veut/peut pas passer au broyeur, on balance tout dans ce coin. Sauf qu’on ne sait pas si on peut vraiment TOUT y mettre.
Par exemple, on a compris que les ronces, c’est pas forcément le truc à mettre dans du compost. Pareil pour le lierre. Ou encore les coupes d’ailante (qui est une sacrée vedette en matière d’invasivité). Pour celles-là, on ne s’inquiète pas de la décomposition difficile, mais plutôt du risque est que ça reprenne dans le tas de déchets (plus la toxicité pour l’ailante). Mais à part ces trois-là, on ne sait pas trop si on peut foncer pour le reste.

oye #fediconsejo o #foodieconsejo si tenéis pensado comer patata cocida en algún momento de la semana, os animo a hacerla la noche de antes y dejarlas enfriar en la nevera hasta que os las comáis. así el almidón de la patata se convierte en resistente, haciendo que esta patata cocida te aporte beneficios que sin enfriarla no tiene. esto es porque el almidón resistente no se digiere apenas, entonces digamos que adquiere comportamiento de fibra, siendo prebiótica y fermentando en intestino. esto está guay porque sacia más y tiene menos carga glucémica, interesante para gente diabética y/o gente que necesite saciarse más. tb va guay enfocado a la salud intestinal y mejora del tránsito. la verdad que no es la panacea pero es una cosa suuuper interesante. el mecanismo por el q pasa ya lo buscáis q es más complejo 💋

What a ride! I found myself vigorously agreeing with most of it. But there were other parts where I was divided against myself. One part still agreeing. another part nervous, that if we go down the road of scaling, monetisation and professionalisation, we risk repeating the mistakes of the original web, and end up right back where we started in another 20 years.

August 2025, I attended #FediCon and gave a talk.
My FediCon 2026 talk will be about Loops.
See, back in Aug 2025, Loops was a mvp that didn't federate and wasn't open source.
After I got back from FediCon, I started building a proper webUI and backend, and later a new and much better mobile app.
Then in October, we added federation support. November brought Duets, Playlists, Pinned Videos.
December, I shipped the For You algorithm
