Has anyone gotten Pemgarda? Kaiser says, and I quote, "...Pemgarda is not offered at Kaiser, pending further safety and data review. There is no clear timeline as to when it may be approved and/or offered to select patients through Kaiser." Let's ignore the FDA said it's safe enough to use in this emergency situation for immunocompromised patients. tbf I'm cheaper to Kaiser dead of covid. This is my first allergy season on super mega doses of immune suppressants. So I guess I get to pick from getting sores from using non-lotion tissues, and they'll eventually get infected, or I can get pimples from using lotion-y tissues. yay. Kid went to Utah to compete in a robotics competition. Last Saturday, the bumpers didn't fit on the robot, something was rubbing against the elevator, preventing it from shooting notes properly, and one or more of the plexiglass plates was somethinging I didn't catch. Today, THEY WON! If you'd told me last week that we'd be celebrating this weekend, I'd have laughed myself silly. However, they persevered and had a kick-ass driver. Next stop: Houston (🤮) and the World Championships(🎉)!!

I HATE health"care" in the US. When I checked in for my infusion this afternoon, they asked me to prepay the $2800 bill.
Me: Why?

Me: Yeah, I know when I had my last infusion but why am I being asked to prepay for it? I've never been asked to prepay before and besides #Pfizer pays for it.

Years ago, when we bought our home, my husband pressure-cooked the window hardware to remove the many layers of paint. Recently, we gave the interior #Doors #UnlacqueredBrass hardware. So pretty! Last week, I busted out the brass polish to clean up the now tarnished window hardware. Except, oops, it's plated, and I ruined it with the brass polish. Today, the #Windows got their new raw #Brass jewelry. And I cleaned up the patio door #Corbin #Nightlatch deadbolt, too. #House #DIY

I saw my #Rheumatologist in person today for the first time since #Humira caused my liver and kidney debacle. She listened to me. She explained why she isn't keen on what I want (my #Methotrexate back), but she understands why I want it. In the end, she came up with a treatment plan that is aggressive (more #Inflectra more often and a wee methotrexate dose) but will hopefully not send my liver and kidneys into a spiral. I left her office feeling heard. 🩷 Such a gift to a patient. #NEISVoid

I bumped into a picture in the dining room, and that revealed the #NewburyPortBlue paint from #SherwinWilliams I used in 2019 has faded significantly. This explains why the room feels purple now. Off to the paint store (#BenjaminMoore) where I found the cutest paint sample roller. It even comes with its own roller tray built into the package. So I'm painting a second room the same(-ish) color it already is. Boring. But it's halfway to a gorgeous blue again. #DIY #OldHouse #EverythingIsAProject

Ta-da! However, I found older outlets behind the sofa and two six-foot bookcases. They'll get new white #GFCI outlets today. Fingers crossed that the living room will be fully painted this evening, and I can move on to painting the dining room.

Going back to the beginning, this is what 15 summers does. Besides the flora for pollinators and a room for our family, we've more than 20 kinds of birds who visit us. Caterpillars turned themselves into black swallowtail butterflies this year. Annual cicadas spend summers serenading us. Bats live in the maple tree. Grasshoppers love the shrubs. We sit eating strawberries off the plants with the sun on our faces. Best of all, our souls are happy. #Gardening #Zone5b #Denver #BloomScrolling /fin

One year a blustery March saw our 40-year-old fence fall to the ground. I can’t allow wood to be scrapped, so we built a “tree house” for the kids. They each picked a tree for it. One picked an Aspen, and the other picked a purple something or other that is actually a pretty bush. Maybe not this year since it’s been beaten to heck by hail at least a dozen times this year.
