Because I was smart enough not to install iOS >18 on my phone, and whatever MacOS came after Seqouia on my desktop, I keep forgetting how bad liquid ass is. For those following at home I /did/ install it on my iPad hoping that window management would be cool now, but of course it is even worse on the new iOS than the old iPad window management was, so I disabled it entirely, which means I have less functionality for acceptable multitasking than I had in iOS 18. But whatever, I digress. The point of this ramble is that because I’m so generally safe from the “yOu caN SEe alL ur CoNTenT” brain disease that inflicted Apple UI designers, I often forget how horrifying it is to have every fucking button floating on top of my UI, like fuck me dead how did anyone ever approve this absolute nightmare of layers upon layers of shit? As I type this on Toot! (my favourite amazing masto client) I see my keyboard over the toot box which has buttons floating over it and which floats over the general timeline ugh god I hate it so much why is this happening to me #firstworldproblems
