an #introduction seems to be the thing to do:
I am a musician (composer/trombonist, mostly) and developer of music software (currently senior sw engineer at PACE Anti-Piracy).
I am also a member of the executive board of the #MIDI Association, which creates and maintains all of the MIDI-related specs. I've served on several of the working groups defining MIDI 2.0.
