I completely agree. There is a lot of wasted space on a desktop system. It might look better on, say, a laptop. But the center column makes no adjustments. And I have trouble figuring out where other options are now hidden. (Under "explore"?)
I would like a little more control over the design, personally. For example, perhaps allowing giving up the right column space to widen the actual posts?
