    Coincidentally, the distance from Donetsk Airport (where the frontline was on February 24th 2002, when the full scale invasion started), to the border post in Chop (the Westernmost town of Ukraine), is 1418 km.

    Which means that if the russians advanced by one km every DAY, by now they would have occupied the whole of Ukraine.

    Instead they only reached Pokrovsk, 60 Km from Donetsk Airport.
