One of those little known and actually pretty good Def Leppard tunes from 2002 that got air time (thanks to yours truly) on our pirate radio station in Mosul during 2004 and four years later on the Saturday morning rock radio show I co-hosted with my unit’s first sergeant on “Radio GTMO” from the radio station at U.S. Naval Station Guantanamo Bay. A slightly different sound from these guys.

The evening’s “live” selection on deck: I’ve noticed in recent years several bands have done covers of this tune including the newer version of Whitesnake with David Coverdale on lead vocal, some of them quite good. However, as far as I’m concerned, they ain’t gonna top the “Mark lll” lineup of Deep Purple (Ritchie Blackmore/Ian Paice/the late Jon Lord/David Coverdale/Glenn Hughes).

One day the second radio station I worked at received a promotional copy of what was then (1988) the latest single from Toni Childs. I promptly put it in rotation because it kicks ass. My boss was a little leery at first but he came around. Toni has a HELL of a voice.
