The measles outbreak in southwestern Wisconsin continues; from a press release I received about an hour ago from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. This poor kid.

My heart is broken for the family," said DHS Secretary Kirsten Johnson. "Any death of a child is a tragedy and even more so when it is related to a vaccine-preventable disease.”

Somewhere there’s a photo of me with a belly dancer (she was actually British) taken while I was on a four day leave to Qatar during my 2004 deployment to the Middle East. I thought about this song as I watched her perform at the restaurant where other troops in my unit had dinner that night. The things ya think about when a song comes on.
