Columbines are wild and garden flowers and are purple, red and yellow.
I’ve grown all three and seen them growing wild in Nova Scotia and the Rockies.
Many mythologies talk about the importance of columbines.

This is my 8th year having inhabitants in my nest box. Usually Mama and Papa produce four young - this year it was 8. Amazing to see the work they do to raise their young and keep the mosquitos and black flies around me at bay.
