🇫🇷 Souvenirs d'une journée de #trainspotting il y a près de vingt ans à Beetebuerg (Bettembourg) et à Näerzeng (Noertzange) sur la ligne Lëtzebuerg (Luxembourg) - Esch-Uelzecht (Esch-sur-Alzette) - Peteng (Pétange).
Et en cadeau, une leçon de luxembourgeois. 😉
1. Une automotrice Z 2N NG de la SNCF sur un service TER Metrolor en route vers Thionville et Metz (ou Nancy) traverse la gare de Bettembourg.
2. A cette époque, les locomotives diesel GM série 18 (identiques aux HLD 55 de la SNCB/NMBS) assuraient encore de nombreux trains de marchandises. Ici, l'un d'eux au passage à Noertzange.
3. Toujours à Noertzange, une locomotive série 3000 des CFL (identiques aux HLE 13 de la SNCB/NMBS) également en tête d'un train de marchandises. Les 3000 ont disparu en début d'année de la scène ferroviaire et un voyage d'adieu est proposé le 23 juin prochain (Fête nationale).
4. Autre matériel qui a été retiré du service et a entamé une nouvelle carrière en Roumanie, les Z 2000 (quasi identiques aux Z 11500 de la SNCF) dont deux exemplaire ici assurent un train vers Athus en Belgique.

🇬🇧 A few photos of a day #trainspotting almost twenty years ago in Beetebuerg (Bettembourg) and Näerzeng (Noertzange) on the Lëtzebuerg (Luxembourg) - Esch-Uelzecht (Esch-sur-Alzette) - Peteng (Pétange) railway line.
And as a gift, a lesson of Luxembourgish. 😉
1. A SNCF Z 2N NG EMU operating a TER Metrolor service en route to Thionville and Metz (or Nancy) passing without stopping Bettembourg station.
2. At that time, The "GM" Class 18 diesel locomotives (identical to SNCB/NMBS HLD 55) still operated many freight trains. Here, one of them passing through Noertzange.
3. Also in Noertzange, a CFL Class 3000 electric locomotive (identical to SNCB/NMBS HLE 13) also at the head of a freight train. The Class 3000 disappeared from the railway scene at the start of the year and a farewell trip is proposed on June 23 (National Day).
4. Other equipment which was withdrawn from service and began a new career in Romania, the Z 2000 EMUs (almost identical to the SNCF Z 11500), with here two units forming a train to Athus in Belgium.

🇫🇷 Un #traintrackTuesday triple aujourd'hui avec quelques photos du weekend dernier :
1. Une locomotive Vectron de l'opérateur autrichien DPB qui vient s'arrêter juste bien près du banc où j'attends le dernier train de mon voyage vendredi dernier (en retard, what else?) à Bonn-Hbf.
2. Le train étant tellement plein et rempli de soûlards, je suis descendu à l'arrêt suivant, Bonn UN-Campus, pour prendre un autre train (qui aussi en retard mais au moins plus calme!) ce qui m'a donné l'occasion de saisir ce train RB vers Köln-Messe/Deutz opéré par l'opérateur NationalExpress composé de deux automotrices Talent 2 du constructeur Bombardier (ex-Talbot).
3. Samedi, à la fin de la rando, devant l'entrée du "Märchenland", un parc des contes de fées, j'ai pu saisir ces deux Désiro HC de l'opérateur NationalExpress qui exploite les trains RE Koblenz - Oberhausen-Hbf (normalement ils vont à Wesel mais suite à des travaux... sont limités plus en amont).

🇬🇧 a triple #traintrackTuesday for today with photos taken during the weekend :
1. A Vectron locomotive from the Austrian operator DPB which stops just near the bench where I am waiting for the last train of my trip last Friday (late, what else?) in Bonn-Hbf.
2. The train being so full and full of drunks, I got off at the next stop, Bonn UN-Campus, to catch another train (which was also late but at least quieter!) which gave me the opportunity to photograph this RB train to Köln-Messe/Deutz operated by NationalExpress with two Talent 2 EMUs from the manufacturer Bombardier (formerly Talbot).
3. Saturday, at the end of the hike, in front of the entrance to "Märchenland", a fairytale park, I was able to photograph these two Desiro HC from the operator NationalExpress on a RE Koblenz - Oberhausen-Hbf trains (normally they go to Wesel but following engineering works... are limited further upstream).

🇫🇷 Les automotrices Z 2N NG des CFL (Série 2200) subissent actuellement une modernisation extérieure et intérieure et les rames en version d'origine deviennent par conséquent de plus en plus rares. La 2218 en tête d'un très long convoi de trois automotrices dont les deux autres sont modernisées (les 2201 et 2209) partira bientôt comme TER 88739 vers Metz-Ville. Luxembourg-Ville cet après-midi.

🇬🇧 CFL EMUs Class 2200 (Z 2N NG) are undergoing a deep interior refurbishing and get a new livery. The consequence is that the units in original version are disappearing with the time. The 2218 is one of the unit in original outfit and in company of the 2201 and 2209, it will work the 14:39 TER (88739) from Luxembourg to Metz-Ville. Photo taken this afternoon.

Uiuiui, das #ZIB2 Interview mit Thomas Posch von der Westbahn ist schlecht vorbereitet, und voller inhaltlicher fragwürdigkeiten. Dass auf europäische #Züge von aussen nicht zugegriffen werden kann, wurde von polnischen #hackern am #ccc widerlegt. Und dass 3 Jahre länger sind als 6 glaub ich auch nicht.

🇫🇷 Une série "ferroviaire" fraîche du jour, il y en aura d'autres dans les prochains jours mais là, je suis un peu fatigué et demain, rendez-vous médical (de contrôle) à Arlon. Passez une bonne soirée.
Il y a une photo du métro bruxellois à la station Schuman d'où l'on aperçoit la voie 3 de la gare SNCB (section ouverte il y a quelques années qui rejoint la ligne 26 vers Bordet et la ligne 36 pour aller rejoindre l'aéroport. Les autres photos sont prises à Bruxelles-Nord.

A picture was taken in the underground station "Schuman" from which platform 3 of SNCB/NMBS Station is visible (this section has been open for several years already and joins near Bordet with Line 26 and 36 in order to reach the Airport. The other photos were taken in Brussels-North.

🇫🇷 Bon, la fatigue se fait sentir alors je vais aller me glisser sous les couvertures et lire encore un peu. 🙂
Il y a un peu plus de six mois, je me suis inscrit ici sans trop savoir ce qui m'attendait et ce que j'attendais... n'ayant aucune expérience des réseaux sociaux.
Six mois, c'est la période d'essai en général pour un job (au rail c'est un an le stage), et je pense que je vais prolonger un peu voire passer en CDI. 😉
Merci à ceux qui apprécient ce que je publie et à ceux avec qui je parle de choses et d'autres.
En 2025, il y aura encore des photos actuelles et d'archives comme sur ces six derniers mois et encore d'autres articles de blog. Ecrire est une façon pour moi de fixer des souvenirs qui commencent à s'effilocher... c'est comme ça, la caboche est fourbe parfois! 😉
Passez une bonne fin de soirée et pour finir en beauté, une vue des festivités des 150 ans du rail à Arlon en octobre 2008... La 29013 fait partie de la série de machines à vapeur américaines que la SNCB a acquis après la seconde guerre mondiale, c'est une "Consolidation" avec sa disposition d'essieux en 1-4-0.
Alors, quoi que nous réserve 2025, allons-y à toute vapeur! Mes meilleurs vœux à tou.te.s!

Six months ago, I signed up here without really knowing what was waiting for me and what I was waiting for... as I didn't have any experience of social medias.
Six months is usually the trial period for a job (by the railways the stage lasts for a whole year), and I think I'm going to extend it a little or even switch to a permanent contract. 😉
Thank you to those who appreciate what I post and to those with whom I talk about things and others.
In 2025, there will still be actual and archive photos just like I did until now.
I'll continue to post to my blog as writing is a way for me to fix memories... my brain plays funny sometimes... that's life! 😉

A last picture for this year with a night photo of the Steam locomotive 29013 in Arlon in October 2008 during the celebrations of 150 years of railways in Arlon. This steam locomotive is an american built after WWII and is called "consolidation" as the wheel arrangement is 1-4-0.
So,whatever 2025 will bring us, let's go full steam ahead! My best wishes to all!

🇫🇷 Suite de l'exploration des archives photos des chemins de fer néerlandais... Lors de ma visite de l'atelier central de Haarlem (près d'Amsterdam) en décembre 2001, j'avais pu voir une parie de l'automotrice "Blokkendoos" ou Mat '24 en cours de restauration. Intérieur bois, peut-être dur pour le postérieur mais raffiné et chaleureux quand-même. 🙂

During my visit to the central workshop in Haarlem (near Amsterdam) in December 2001, I was able to see a part of the "Blokkendoos" or Mat '24 EMU being restored. Wooden interior, perhaps hard for the rear but anyway fine and warm. 🙂

🇫🇷 Le nez fourré dans mes archives photos argentiques, j'ai retrouvé quelques photos qui ont déjà près de 25 ans... Comme je n'ai pas trop noté les endroits, la mémoire interne de mon cerveau a chauffé et la recherche par image m'a un peu aidé! Voici ce qui était à l'époque le train omnibus standard aux Pays-Bas, les automotrices plan T (4 voitures) et plan V (2 voitures). Bonne soirée!
🇬🇧 I was exploring my photo archives and I found back photos which are almost 25 years old... As I did not wrote all the details, it wasn't easy to find the places... My brain has worked a lot to remember and with the help of picture search I could find it all! The Dutch Railways had a "standard Stopping services" EMU known as Plan T (4-car) and Plan V (2-Car). 🇫🇷 Contraste ce matin à Arlon où le brouillard était dense! Petite anecdote, peu après que j'ai pris les photos, nous avons vu la police débarquer et menotter deux voyageurs du train qui venait de Bruxelles. J'ai déjà eu, au cours de ma carrière des interventions de la police et des voyageurs débarqués aussi mais menottés, c'est la première fois... et j'imagine qu'il y avait une bonne raison, notre police n'a pas la réputation d'être du genre "Rambo".
🇬🇧 If here it was sunny, this morning in Arlon the fog was dense! A little anecdote, shortly after I took the pictures, we saw the police arrive and handcuff two passengers of the train coming from Brussels. During my career, I had several police interventions and passengers being disembarked is not a rare thing but it was the very first time I saw a passenger handcuffed and I guess there was a good reason, our police don't have the reputation of being the "Rambo" type.

Si dans les années 1980-1990, il était courant de voir des composition mixte AM doubles classiques et quadruples, ce n'est plus possible aujourd'hui. En septembre dernier, Daan Verstraete aka Daantrein a eu cette chance inouïe sur la ligne 29 Herentals - Turnhout avec ce magnifique cliché pris près de Tielen. Il a même placé une vidéo (lien via le post original sur Flickr).

In the 1980-1990, it was relatively common to see trains compositions that mixed SNCB/NMBS 2-Car EMUs with the 4-Car EMUs. Nowadays quiet impossible. Last september has Daan Verstraete aka Daantrein this unique chance on line 29 Herentals - Turnhout with this wonderful photo taken near Tielen. Via his original post on Flickr, he proposes also a video of this train.

🇨🇵 En jamvier 2008, un autorail diesel serie 41 attend le départ à Arlon vers Virton, Bertrix et Libramont. Bien que la ligne était électrifiée, la SNCB ne disposait pas d'un nombre suffisant d'automotrices pouvant circuler sous 25 kV. Passez une bonne soirée!

🇨🇵 Aujourd'hui ont circulé les premiers OUIGO classiques entre Bruxelles et Paris et vice-versa. Ils étaient emmené par une HLE série 18. Dans le passé, les TEE et autres EuroCity etaient déjà aux mains de HLE 18 de la SNCB (entre autres) mais d'une autre génération! Deux photos prises après leur longue carrière... début des années 2000.

Die Sonderbemalung
Im Allgemeinen bin ich ja Fan von Loks oder ganzen Zügen mit Sonderbemalung: Sei es der gelbe Thurbo-Zug, der seit Urzeiten auf Radio Top, Tele Top und Top Online aufmerksam macht, die verschiedenen Re 460 mit ihren teilweise wunderprächtigen Sujets oder aber auch „meine Lok 624“, die RhB-Lok, die mehrere Jahre lang mit diversen Portraits – unter anderem auch mit meinem – verziert unterwegs war.
Etwas speziell ist die Güterlok, die vor einer Weile in Winterthur ausserhalb des Bahnhofs stand: Sie bewirbt das Jubiläum „2003-2023 / 20 Jahre HSL-Logistik“.
Ich will ja niemandem zu nahe treten, aber so richtig schön kann ich diese Lok nicht finden. Eher etwas wirr …
