Sometimes it's a bit tricky with old hardware. How do I get software onto an old #SiemensNixdorf #PCD that has neither a USB port nor a floppy drive? Luckily, #GeoWorks2 was at least installed on it, so with XMODEM and Klaus Peichl's incredibly useful PALMZIP.SYS driver, copying entire directories via a #ZIP100 worked.

So I just hooked a #USB #Zip100 drive up to my #Book8088 ...

And it just worked. No muss no fuss 100 meg of disk space right there on D:

Now i feel bad because I meant to test this when I first got the book8088 but then didn't. 😞

Between the fussiness of the ch375 chip and zip drives wanting special drivers all the time I assumed it wouldn't work.
