Today's project was to attach my new Cortado MkIII contact mic from Zeppelin Labs to the mbira.
It's fantastic. Connects with XLR to phantom power and has a wonderfully clean tone.
For a few decades I built my own contact mics and gaff taped them to the back. The Cortado comes with adhesive putty and is small enough to affix to the rear end of the sound box.
Really impressed!
