This article, written by a member of the Worst Generation, actually ends on the premise that the free market has done remarkably well at reducing automotive emissions. And it is a shame because he makes good points about how EVs may save the automotive industry but not the environment, and that (I infer) the only way to save the environment is to move humans with communal transport mechanisms.
