"The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has voted 2–1 to rescind its 2024 enforcement guidance, which expanded interpretations of workplace protections for LGBTQ workers and individuals seeking reproductive care.

"The revised policy was repealed on January 22, 2026, following a change in the commission’s membership that gave Republicans a 2–1 majority.

"The 2024 guidance, which was not binding law but offered detailed examples of how anti-discrimination protections apply, had built on the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2020 ruling in Bostock v. Clayton County, which recognized that Title VII’s ban on sex discrimination covers sexual orientation and gender identity

  32. CW: California Know Your Rights Notice in Regards to ICE

Just got the new Know Your Rights Notice as someone working in California. It is a new legal notice regarding workplace rights that must be sent out by employers annually. This first notice which comes from Department of Industrial Relations is all about immigration status.

One of the things mentioned is the authority for ICE to conduct a search, saying they need a Judicial warrant that specifically outlines search of your person or personal property. Also says that the Administrative forms like I-200 and I-205 are not the same as a Judicial warrant. Also clarifies what is considered non-public spaces and that immigration agents have no right to enter without a Judicial warrant nor can an employer voluntarily allow entry. The notice also includes information regarding the 4th and 5th Amendment.

This notice is clearly been written up in regards to Minnesota. #California #workplacerights #legal
