The reason they stopped doing this the last time is because people who thought they were Cis found out they weren't as Cis as they thought they were. And everyone else found out about it too, at the same time they did.
Note also, it's only the Women they test, Trans Men are once again completely forgotten about.

The #AFLW #AFLWFinals are about to punish two teams by playing in 34+ degree weather, and one of the teams will have to back it up at the next #Final (prelim) next weekend. At a suburban ground with limited shade and shelter for spectators too

And, of course, no pre-show on TV, because it's important the women aren't treated equally, or they might start to expect a full home-and-away season or something.

Love how women's sport is driving change thanks to commonsense and courageous women. From the netball team refusing to wear a sponsor's logo to support an indigenous teammate and now the AFL W saying teams will no longer have to wear white shorts to 'away' games as competitors don't need any extra stressors such as worries about menstrual bleeding. This is great news for teen girls playing sport too!
