  1. Columnist: I'm standing up for what I believe in! Protecting women's sport! And I'll keep standing up for it, no matter how much those snowflakes try to silence me and my right to free speech!

Citizen: That's fantastic! You know, female athletes have to put up with so much vicious misogyny and abuse, especially on social media. Some men really can be snowflakes when it comes to women's sport.

Columnist: No! I'm raising the big issue in women's sport, and I'm being /attacked/ for it!

Citizen: Really?! People are attacking you for saying female athletes deserve equal pay for equal work?

Columnist: Not that one! I'm talking about something far more serious, affecting the health and wellbeing of female athletes. And even the very integrity of women's sport itself!

Citizen: Do you mean how sports science focuses almost exclusively on male athletes, leading to women suffering anterior cruciate ligament injuries at six times the rate of men (citation: https://www.nytimes.com/2026/02/26/magazine/acl-tear-women-girl-sports.html )?

Citizen: Or do you mean how elite women's sport is routinely relegated to worse venues and TV coverage, with less sponsorship and promotion?

Columnist: No! I'm talking about protecting women's sport from the scourge of men transitioning for the sole purpose of winning at women's sport!

Citizen: Why would a professional male athlete who's not trans want to go through all the challenges and discrimination of transitioning for less pay, less TV coverage, fewer sponsorships, smaller crowds, less promotion, higher injury risk, worse venue, online abuse, and rampant misogyny, just to win at women's sport?

    Columnist: Because *winning*!

Citizen: Can you give an example of where this has actually happened?

    Columnist: ...

Citizen: And what do you propose to do about it?

Columnist: Totally dismantle democracy, install a totalitarian dictatorship, arrest or kill anyone who disagrees with said despot, and deport ethnic minorities en masse. Also we'll use it to justify rolling back all healthcare and civil rights to trans people, establishing that human rights exist at the arbitrary will of our overload, which the despot will use arbitrarily against all women and any other individuals or groups he disagrees with.

Citizen: That seems a bit... extreme.

Columnist: It's all to protect women's sport.

Citizen: And what will you do about the other issues I raised?

Columnist: Well, if any of them, such as research into sports medicine for women or facilities for women's sport, require public funding, then we'll cut the funding and give the money back to rich supporters of our despot as a tax cut.

Citizen: I see. Say, just out of curiosity, who do you think will win the grand final in the AFLW this year?

Columnist: I honestly don't care. I'm not into women's sport, sorry.

  6. Wow! What an event this year Athlos NYC25. Olympians and world champs put up an awesome show of #power, #speed and #agility.
Shelly-Ann Fraser-Price honored by Serena Williams for her outstanding achievements.
    The winners didn't get a medal, but a crown (a Tiffany's one)
Faith Kipyegon dominated the 1500m, and so Keely Hodgkinson the 800m. Tara Davis-Hall crushed the long jump with 7.14m😱 and Brittany Brown won both the 100m and 200m💪👏

  11. The reason they stopped doing this the last time is because people who thought they were Cis found out they weren't as Cis as they thought they were. And everyone else found out about it too, at the same time they did.
Note also, it's only the Women they test, Trans Men are once again completely forgotten about.

Do you see the bigotry in all this, do you see it?

  17. The #AFLW #AFLWFinals are about to punish two teams by playing in 34+ degree weather, and one of the teams will have to back it up at the next #Final (prelim) next weekend. At a suburban ground with limited shade and shelter for spectators too

And, of course, no pre-show on TV, because it's important the women aren't treated equally, or they might start to expect a full home-and-away season or something.

  18. Time for a pinned post. I live in Aotearoa New Zealand. I post about, in no particular order: Our cats: Midnight and Jasper. My clothes. My life. Books. Being a children's librarian. Sports, especially #womenssport. Craft. Random shit. Boosting / sharing creators' work.

  19. Australians are really getting into the Women's World Cup. Tonight our Matildas play England in the Semifinal to decide who plays against Spain. Gonna be crowded screens at parks, clubs, and homes across the country.

And our Matildas team is full of queers!!

  20. Love how women's sport is driving change thanks to commonsense and courageous women. From the netball team refusing to wear a sponsor's logo to support an indigenous teammate and now the AFL W saying teams will no longer have to wear white shorts to 'away' games as competitors don't need any extra stressors such as worries about menstrual bleeding. This is great news for teen girls playing sport too!

  22. Women's sport will have a tough future, if any biological male can identify as a women and can compete as a women.

    https://www.foxnews.com/sports/second-female-penn-swimmer-steps-forward-describes-teammates-in-tears.amp

This story is about Penn State University female swimming team in the USA.

"But parasurv! There are not many trans athletes in the world!" - you might say.

Which is true. However this crazyness comes from the USA, which has the biggest resources for sports, outside of China. Money, people and interest are all aligned for them.

If you can't beat your fellow men, just identify as a woman, and dominate your sport easily. That's their motto.

Nobody will bat an eye if somebody does that, since if you do, you will be labeled as transphobe, immediately canceled.

    #women #WomensSport

Can you imagine sports, where physical contact is unavoidable, like ice hockey, mma, etc.? What kind of damage this can do?

Also the IOC (International Olympic Comittee), now thinking about deleting the testosterone levels for biological males to compete with women.

    https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2021/nov/16/trans-women-should-not-have-to-reduce-testosterone-say-new-ioc-guidelines

I don't think these people sit down and thought about the consequences. I hope they re-think their approach.

Imagine a young girl, who likes xcy sports, is good at it and want to improve, want to compete at the highest level possible...

but won't be able to, because one guy identifies as a woman, and takes her place. Very discouraging for all young girls and women.
