I have an appointment this afternoon with a doctor in the local pain clinic. Mostly what I want is to understand whether I can stop taking the two medications that I'm currently taking and perhaps to learn some new strategies and skills to deal with pain.

Last night I made a list of things I want to talk about because often I go blank when I walk in to a doctors office. As I made my list and then organized it, I realize that going blank is my version of dissociating. Not only that, just making the list caused me to dissociate and I had to tug myself back into my body.

So today should be fun. I hope it's useful and that he's not a dick.
