Rearranged my office so the shelves above my desk are filled with favorite books by friends and heroes instead of just random stuff that fit. Actually makes a mental health difference, I think. #WhateverWorks

Years ago on a plane I sat next to a 96 year old tennis player. She’d been playing since her teens. At 80 it started hurting a lot.

A new guy showed up at the courts. Very energetic and healthy. And older than everyone.

They asked what his secret was.

“Tractor Supply. Horse linament. Orange tube”

And so when I feel sore after I work out, I put it on. I appreciate it.

@philipdutre ik lees echt graag. Een doel zetten helpt me om van #lezen een prioriteit te maken en zo van lezen ook een gewoonte te kweken.
Een doel zetten om te lezen moet niet. Maar het kan wel helpen.
Mijn doel is een kwartier lezen op een dag. Dit probeer ik ‘s ochtends te doen bijvoorbeeld.

I keep forgetting to bring my boots in from the car where I keep them before it rains. My regular shoes have small holes in the sole, and my socks get wet If I go very far in them.

I'm attempting to prevent that by lining the inside bottoms with empty hot chocolate packages (they're foil lined to prevent moisture seepage) for this quick trip outside.

My fur buddy canine feared fireworks- would tremble and hide terrified. Now he just barks at them as I yell "Be quiet you fireworks!" He's a Jack Russell Terrier. They love having jobs to do. So we converted a fear of loud noise into a "job" telling loud noise to "Shut up!" Wish I would have thought to do that when he was younger. We "work" well together even though our "job" doesn't stop the loud noise. #WhateverWorks #Dogs #Fireworks
