Some people see just Mastodon, some even just the app on their smartphone.
But the protocol is what is really interesting.
Yes, some companies started to adapt their systems. I wonder when some of the usual non-core web-tech or social network enterprises will jump on it and start projects based on in it. E.g. adapting their web content management system.
