The University of Michigan student radio station #WCBN looking for a chief engineer. Jim Campbell #KA8ODD has the position now.
Jim writes:
"Traditionally this has been a start of career type position. There are many out there who got their start as WCBN chief engineer.
Please encourage anyone with an interest in music and radio technology to apply. Anyone with basic electronic troubleshooting skills, some network knowledge and already knows what a SWR is, I can show how to do the rest."

Hi all,
I'm doing a full-on blast to all the various communication channels, news meeting at 7 PM Thursday! At the station! With pizza! Yes this is pushed back an hour, this is because sports runs 6-6:30, and because I realized I need more time after class to get pizza! We will be planning for a pilot episode of sorts, expect it to "air" at the same time next week. Sending good airwaves your way.

#wcbn is conducting an experiment of sorts. Sundays this semester, an alternative online station, "SideB," will feature its own original content not heard on the airwaves. I will be on at 9 PM tonight! If you want to hear SideB, head over to wcbn.org!

Crush Collision on WCBN-FM 88.3 Ann Arbor MI - DJ Paul playing techno 1000p til midnight Eastern on Thursday nights. One of the longest running techno shows on the radio, as I understand it.
The radio of choice for the broadcast is the FM side of my little Baofeng. The nice thing about techno is that it's very hard to complain about any distortion in the audio because you don't really know if that was originally put there and intended by the DJ.

"Campus FM" is a directory of college and university radio stations around the US (there might be international stations there, but I didn't see any on my first visit). Very interesting if you want to do some audio exploration of college radio.
The site does some kind of audio caching so that you get instant-on for station tuning rather than having to wait for a buffer to fill.
