Moving the decision about #WaterFluoridation from local bodies to central government solved one problem. Councils holding dedicated hearings to evaluate the evidence for and against, and deciding to discontinue fluoridation.
But it means that all the communities opposed to the practice can join forces to prove their case, once and for all. If they get behind Whangarei council's challenge, it could be the beginning of the end for water fluoridation in Aotearoa;
