    When #prehistoric #human #buildings are found not in the ground but at #greaterdepths in the #sea, they can be dated using relative #sealeveldata. Yves Fouquet et al. (2025) describe Mesolithic/#Neolithic granite #wallremains at significant depths near #SeinIsland in #Brittany, dating from 5800 to 5300 BCE. Based on their size, they date the emergence of Neolithic #megalithism in Brittany back several centuries.
