The blog/newsletter/longform is a thing. It needs to be an open ecosystem like podcasting, where nobody needs to care who is helping you publish it but only that it can be read/TTS to them any way they want. And that writers can get paid.

Going through the ~4000 articles saved to my #wallabag and you can tell when I started using the fediverse.
It was all longreads and until one day it became "awesome" lists, blog posts about blogging, colourful indie sites, and stories about renewable energy, work reform, data privacy, NFT roasts, accessibility, "Zoom fatigue", and blog posts announcing changes being made to a chosen blogging framework.
Still 3200 articles to sort through...

I use Wallabag to save articles to read later, typically on my phone when I find spare moments. It works well, but it's not the most pleasant experience reading long-form on a phone.
After seeing a post from @benbrown showing his xteink e-reader, I picked one up hoping I could somehow use it to read my Wallabag saves. Turns out Calibre can subscribe to the "undread" RSS feed Wallabag exposes, and export them to the device.
Much better, I love this little thing!

Actualización: ya he conseguido que funcione la app de #Wallabag, resulta que era un problema con el 2FA que da error con la app, pero si se deshabilita desde la web, se instala la app, se inicia sesión y luego se vuelve a habilitar ya no hay problema.

RE: https://fosstodon.org/@wallabag/116362188591028657
This may seem like bad news for the wallabag ecosystem, but other projects are coming (with a nice update from @frigoligo) and we couldn't imagine one of the projects marked as "official" switching to closed code.
wallabag is moving forward, and that's the main news.
