Already my #waitingRoom features some guy blasting two-second high-volume audio snippets as he scrolls his phone.
There seems to be two sorts:
a) An elderly guy who doesn't know how to do anything on his phone beyond scrolling and clicking within one app, and he clicks everything.
b) younger ppl who are oblivious that anyone else in the world exists and will just watch content on full-audio cuz they want to.
So far I just have guy 'A' but I'm sure Mr/Ms B isn't far off.

I suppose there's a certain irony in contorting myself at various angles, getting down on the floor, etc. to get just the right shot of the #orchids...in the #WaitingRoom for #PhysicalTherapy.

Glad I was in the queue before the collapse of the system. I may have a chance of getting my leeches applied and out before the full descent into #waitingRoom hell.

Getting my fill of #waitingRoom time this week.
I think this one will be somewhat brief, compared to the vehicle-licensing office. Maybe 20-30min for a blood test.

The long #waitingRoom wait was pretty reasonable, in spite of those bizarre people who think it's acceptable to play full-audio videos in such spaces.
Having a book to read makes a big difference, as does having Mastodon at hand! Thanks for the company!

I think my number is next. There was a jump of a few digits suddenly, but my estimate of 1.5hrs is still proving pretty good.
Was just getting into my book.

My assumptions for uptake speed in the #waitingRoom are looking questionable as a few of the desks are empty now. No doubt lunchtime for staff.

Seems like about 10min per increment on the vehicle wait list (there are several) and I'm about nine positions down. Should be about another 1.5hrs?

Sitting in a hospital waiting room while a guy in his 70s treats the entire room to fart TikTok videos at roughly 3/4 volume. Nothing says “public courtesy” quite like turning a waiting room into a live soundboard of digital flatulence. Humanity remains committed to keeping things weird.
