I get that it's heavier to run a game in VR, but is it like double the load on your rig? Doesn't the rendering itself take up the most effort, and they "just" have to calculate a second, almost identical image offset by a few centimeters, reusing all the rendered objects? How much of an impact are we talking about here? 10%? 50%? -

I got a question for you: I wanna eventually play some VR titles once my PC is up to handle it.
However, the problem is I want an affordable VR headset. The Oculus Quest 2 is the most affordable, but I hate Meta.
HTC Vive looks nice, but the price tag is ridiculous. Don’t get me started on Valve’s headsets. Those are ridiculously priced as well.
Also, I don’t have much room to walk around, so I’m probably gonna be in my chair looking around.
Any ideas? Any replies are appreciated.
