  1. I also like the bit about #VirtualGameCard.

It’s a neat solution to the problem of digital “ownership”. I wish it worked outside of the family group, but it’s a step in the right direction.

  5. One of the biggest surprises from yesterday's #NintendoDirect was the upcoming new featured called #VirtualGameCard. For an explanation, read the brief article. I will note that this is way late but also right on time for the #Switch2 direct next week. #videogames arstechnica.com/gaming/2025/03

One important aspect to note is that it remains unclear all of the rules of how this will work, but one thing is clear; in order to establish the sharing, the Switch devices must be connected on the same network. I personally don't see the value of this limitation.

If you are like us and have #NSO account members elsewhere, you cannot share. I have 3 friends in Canada and Connecticut and my daughter has the other 3 accounts for her friends. Two of her friends are local, though, but they'll need to visit to get it set up. The two remaining are for us.

I'd like to be able to share with my pals, as I'm sure my daughter would with hers, but that's not a thing... yet. We will get that clarification in April when the update drops that adds this new feature.
