#vimgolf — Public Fediverse posts

I encountered this scenario while editing my #XCompose file (https://www.vimgolf.com/challenges/9v006a58d48e00000000080a) and decided to upload it to #VimGolf to see just how slow I was. Feel free to have a go!

I believe a #compression #algorithm based on #Vim would be really funny. As though it were playing #VimGolf, the algorithm tries to find the shortest ‘path’ from an empty file in Vim to the desired file.

No posts with #EmacsGolf yet? Those would be an interesting learning opportunity 😄

A new plugin implements daily Vim Golf challenges: https://github.com/vuciv/golf

The goal is to change some text with the shortest number of keystrokes possible.

It's still quite early in development and there are a few bugs here and there, but it might be an interesting project to follow.

@claire I should really get back into #vim simply because it's plain fun sometimes... Have you ever seen #vimgolf? That can be so much fun.
