When we showed John Waters’ film Polyester (back in my days working at a film theatre in a public library), it featured a gimmick called Odorama. We handed each moviegoer a special scratch-and-sniff card so they could smell what they were viewing on-screen. As I recall there were twenty “fragrances”, some more pleasant than others (it was John Waters, after all)…
