Eraserhead, The Elephant Man, Wild at Heart, Blue Velvet, and the aforementioned, Mulholland Drive, are all among my faves. Also a soft spot for his mess Dune. Oddly, given I'm a fan of his, I've never seen any of Twin Peaks (something I will remedy at some point), due mostly to not having access to it when it first came out.I've not seen either, Lost Highway, nor, Inland Empire, but have both on hold at my public library...

It was. Some of the stuff that happens in this town is quite a surprise. I think it punches a bit above its weight due to the annual festival.
Also, it was a free event put on by the public library. -

If you can, show your local public librarians some love in person this week during #NationalLibraryWeek with gifts, cards, and encouraging words. We have witnessed some very ugly behavior over the eclipse glasses brouhaha from people who do not care about us except to demand scarce resources and abuse us when we run out.

At the local community garden AGM last night, I learned that our library has a seed library program: With your library card, you can take up to 3 seed packets per visit, from April through September. I love this idea so much that I volunteered to help with repackaging the seeds from one big to many small packets when they arrive.
So! If you're in or around Duncan, BC and are looking for seeds this spring, go to the library!

I just (a couple nights back) watched it and found it to be an enjoyable, absurdly quirky romp…with more than a few laugh-out-loud moments….I’ve only read a bit of Delillo, and this isn’t one of the few. I’ve put a hold on it at my library but it appears I’m late to the game on that maneuver (60th in line on a handful of copies), stay tuned…
