Should it take a super long time for .webm files to convert to .mkv?

I'm using ffmpeg right now to convert a folder of about 30 .webm files to .mkv and it's been running a few hours and my laptop is getting really hot.

Genuinely not sure if I should let it finish or pull the plug.
