Trump is bullying Lisa Cook, the first Black woman to sit on the Fed’s Board of Governors, to resign.
His administration is accusing her of mortgage fraud (a tactic they have also used on Democrats like California Senator Adam Schiff and New York Attorney General Letitia James).
Cook’s resignation would open up a spot on the Board for #trump to appoint someone who will do his bidding and lower interest rates however he wants.
