  1. I'm not getting my two #dipPens to cooperate with the dropper bottle very well. Might be #userError.

Half the big drops on the paper are from the wooden dipper. That one works okay for a sentence but often drips a big blob in the middle of a letter.

My solution thus far is to take an empty converter, siphon directly from the bottle, then pour hot water into it and siphon a few drops of water that spilt onto my hand. Shake it up, rinse the nib, after a few scratches it's working.

I think this is an Extra Fine point so, YMMV.

Next time I'll siphon water first or try directly from a glass jar instead of pouring from a tea kettle. lol

  2. Ah, the classic tale of a cry for "manual review" from the Silicon Sages 🤔—because clearly, the #algorithms are conspiring against them! 🤖✨ Spoiler alert: There's no AI uprising, just another episode of user error. 📉😅

  3. Turns out... there's a secret special hidden socket part flap under the main socket!
Can you see it?! I dunno, man - why do they make things complicated?!

Anyway, the best way to learn about electric vehicles is to be Wrong On Threads.

  4. 🚨 Breaking news: After years of blissful ignorance, our protagonist discovers that #PyTorch is not, in fact, infallible! 😱 Instead of the usual user error, it turns out the culprit was a PyTorch #bug all along—cue the collective gasp of shock and awe. 🎉 Here's to the next few years of bug-hunting instead of actual learning! 🐛🔍

  5. My 6-year-old decided that he likes how the rain sensor at the weather station moves like a seesaw when putting water on it with the watering can. Now my sprinklers have decided, no need to water New Atlantis this month. The wonderful world of IoT (or IT in general).

  6. @bughunter wow, I am an absolute doofus - I realized now that I was entering the WRONG information for the boot order while using efibootmgr -n command.

It wasn't the usb stick - it was me 😞

  7. …not knowing what I am doing in #linux, opens up unlimited chances for me mess things up… I had it working and then I failed to get #timeshift up and running… about to do the 3rd clean install…
    🤟😌✨
btw how do I get an #appimage added to the panel with the other apps?
…and what is the best way to install 2 versions of blender?

  8. I had a 3G only phone replaced as the telcos are switching off 3G services.

    New phone is #SamsingA05s.
Waited till I had a screen protector and case before taking it with me.

Found it un-usable for calls as the audio was woeful.
Harsh words about #MrSamsung's character were spoken.

Then I noticed the see-saw volume button behaving very strangely.
Closer inspection showed the gel case to be constantly depressing the centre of the see-saw.

See photos for the chisel-knife fix.

  9. No, the fact that the 'save a new view' option only appears when you've actually made changes to a system view is not a bug.

  10. Spent 12 days cooking data using a third party solution, which didn’t print progress, and it seems to have crashed before saving to disk… 🤬😭😱

Most likely #UserError, but now sure how else I could’ve used it.

At least I’ve figured out a new approach which should reduce the need for long cooking… 🤞🤞🤞

  11. When you hear "I just bought this car new off the showroom and I am going to drive until the wheels fly off!"

You tend to expect that trip to be longer than 115 miles.

But it was a #Tesla. So... #UserError caused the suspension to snap in half.

  12. I keep forgetting to thread my #ClimateChange posts because I thought I'd lost the "save drafts" functionality in the #IceCubes #app.

I just realized that was pure #UserError and that drafts still do save correctly and can be found by clicking the file box icon in the app's toolbar (screenshot attached)

  13. CW: Partial nudity

Was trying to install this new laughter software. As you can see, it didn't quite work out... it's now overheating and stuck in a loop, so I have tech support here rewriting code in hopes of bringing it back online. Hopefully, it's not another unit for the trash heap. #android #robot #androids #robots #asfr #gayandroid #gayrobot #gayasfr #gay #gayrobots #gayandroids #mechanicalman #mandroidexotica #malerobots #maleandroid #maleasfr #programming #usererror #error #lgbtq #drone

  14. So screen reader dictionaries are funny things. I made an entry for the word "chi" I made it pronounce with a long E sound. I then became baffled when schism, chicken, and chill all started to sound completely jacked up. Confounded technology! #UserError :disability_flag:

  15. Even if the sewing machine *is* threaded properly, and even if it *does* have the appropriate foot on it (I'm finally using my zipper foot!), the user still must line the fabric up with the right sides together and *also* not rotate the piece by 180° so it doesn't line up-- good thing I have a seam ripper. And I'd sewn that zipper in so well, too.

What if I take a break for dinner, a drink, and Thursday Night Football... and try this again tomorrow?

  16. Just in case this wasn't *super obvious* (as it really ought to have been), the sewing machine won't sew properly if it isn't threaded properly.

  17. @JoeRess just gave it a listen. Definitely one of my top podcast! Just waiting for #UserError to come back

  18. CW: rant

#Joomla is still the crap #CMS that was 20 years ago.

Some website running it lets me register with a 50+ characters password. But then does not allow me to login with it calling a F***ing #UserError.

There is no User Error. There is only Poor Design.
