Not a great game from #USMNT but very much a game where winning wasn't really the point. Getting a look at a lot of young players was much more of a focus and definitely some stuff to be happy about.
I also thought the same thing was true for Serbia, and they looked really encouraging overall. Lots of positive play from young kids on both teams. #USASRB #MastodonFC

Language musing:
Serbian љ/lj is tough for anglophone tongues. It's an L sound and a Y sound together. We see it in soccer with names like Joveljić, Ljajić.
It seems like a lot of commentators choose to just discard the j (y sound): YO-vell-ich, LA-yich.
But as an English speaker who's learning Serbian, I feel like *if* a letter must be dropped, dropping the L and just treating it like a Y sounds *closer* to the real thing: YO-vey-ich, YA-yich.
