Gonna highlight a vod and get gameplay uploaded to YouTube sometime tonight of my Ultimate Doom gameplay. It only took me about an hour to clear episode 1 with only a few deaths!
It's been years since I've played through that and it was such a rush reliving some of my childhood!
The next time I stream it, I'll pick up with Episode 2 and see how much I can remember of the maps since the last time I ran through there. If I was to field a guess, it'll probably take me a few hours to clear it. We'll see if that happens. :blobcatglowsticks:

Something for classic Doom fans out there who played the originals and ps1 or saturn ports: which music and sfx do you prefer and why?
I have a bit of a more preference for the originals, but both sound good! I grew up with Doom 2 and Ultimate Doom, but I didn't have a chance to touch any semblance of PSX/Jagdoom till the mid 00s via the TC megawad for Doom 2.
It was super jarring to hear those sounds due to how it felt so bad to me at the time. I didn't realize it was trying to be faithful to what was available on disc-based consoles at the time.
Sometime later I eventually got to expierence virtually all the ports available through the early 10s and read up on the history of all the ports. It's damn amazing what people did with porting the games to various consoles due to various issues for whatever reasons given.
Somehow this has become one of my niche interests and I eventually wanna get a fully patched copy of 32X Doom running so I can expierence all the levels how they were meant to be played.

if you are playing classic doom games and require cheats (because you are playtesting a level and, for example, a wall is broken)
1- you do not type the cheat into chat. just hit the letters on your keyboard corresponding to what you want
2- type the same cheat a second time to disable it
