New post coming, my first weekly idea for writing on my blog (https://bluerosesociety.space), which I'm calling the SWIPE series.

SWIPE is: So, a Week In Prideful Eldering.

The concept is simple and straightfoward. I make voice notes when I am eldering the trans community (mostly locally, but I'd love other elders to take up the banner as well, in their locales).

Then once a week, share them with you. These will largely be posts of positivity; being an elder is a very good feeling, and the work feels good in itself.

First one in an hour, and I'm hoping to figure out how to make the post link itself on Fedi. The site has the power, I have to figure out the secret words to invoke it.

I will be very happy if you can pass along that link anywhere you want to, any trans folk who might like to hear tales of being that rare, rare unicorn: the old person who got that way while existing as trans.

I will also be happy if questions get posed in the comments - ideas for further writing can come from those questions.

The blog will never be paywalled in any way. The only way to pay me is to be deliberate about it, each time. For me, that's the only ethical way I can ask: if I did something you found valuable, you can support me through PayPal to my email address ([email protected]). Other avenues also exist, such as Interac in Canada, and wire transfers from other places.

The only way to get around that "you must choose every time" is to set up a recurring donation wherever you donate, if they have that. Recurring donations are great: I can rely on that number on a regular basis. But anything helps.

I will probably, when suitable, post a display for transparency, about exactly how much I am receiving, to further inform your choices. If you reckon I'm getting enough, make me even happier by donating that money to a trans person who needs, best to intersectionally-affected trans folk (Black and trans, disabled and trans, and so on).
