    Supervisor Lindsey P. Horvath and DEO are launching the Malibu-Topanga Business Interruption Fund (BIF) to support small businesses suffering financial losses as a direct result of the loss of customers due to the closures of Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) and Topanga Canyon Boulevard. This targeted grant program offers to $10,000 to $20,000 in funding to eligible businesses located in ZIP codes 90265 (Malibu) and 90290 (Topanga).

  9. The power was out for 3 nights and came back on. It was because SoCal Edison is getting sued for ~allegedly~ being the cause of the Eaton Fire in AltaDena, California. The Pacific Palisades is also not Los Angeles for those watching outside of California news.

    It's just been brought to my attention that there was a Monarch butterfly overwintering site, Lower Topanga, that was in fact ravaged by fire. Monarchs go into diapause for overwintering so it's not clear that they might have awakened and escaped in advance. Also check with the Xerces Society.
