has anyone ever experienced e-Tag fraud?

I just got hit with about R3.8K worth of Toll Gate charges and was nowhere near those Toll Gates.

I did notice someone hovering about my vehicle in the parking area, while having breakfast this weekend - wondering if that may be related and if someone can read, clone, transmit charges to the e-Tag.
