Eilen pelattiin ensimmäistä kertaa junapeliä junassa (Ticket to Ride / Menolippu, Eurooppa), vaikka minulla on ollut tämä harrastus #lautapelitjunassa jo vuosia.
Peli mahtui hyvin pöydälle, kun junat pidettiin pussissa.
Parhaat (lisämaksuttomat) pöydät ovat tähän saakka olleet lemmikkivaunussa, mutta tilanne paranee nyt kun VR uusii IC-kalustoa – kelvollisia pöytiä saadaan muihinkin vaunuihin.

I used to smoke and I remember when people smoked everywhere. There were smoking sections everywhere, ashtrays everywhere.
I like the style of this. The style fits the scene imho. The dark level fits and the level of attention given the rendering. I like that Death is employed and carrying out an expected function, like, this is the part of the ride where you die. 😆

I hosted our virtual community #boardgame night last night.
We played the card games #Cucumber, #Last, #Mojo, and #VultureCulture. We also played #TicketToRide and #TheNumber.
The Board Game Arena has so many options to play these days.
The best thing is still hanging out with friends, even if it is just on Zoom.
Our furthest guest joined to check in from a hostel on the Appalachian Trail where they are backpacking for the summer. We've had friends join us from Japan and Louisiana, too.

Auch wenn ich glaube zu mehreren würde es noch mehr Spaß machen. Aber mit #DerSiebteKontinent haben wir schon ein Kampagnenspiel zu dritt laufen und noch mehr Freizeitstress brauch ich nicht. 😁

Fun fact: this was my first time at any sort of #BoardGameCafe/restaurant myself. They had a great selection to choose from, so I didn't have to haul anything from home!
I decided to pick two fun games that are more accessible during our time together: #SushiGo and #TicketToRide (New York). I had a few more games on the shortlist, such as #Pandemic (Hot Zone: North America) and #Carcassonne, but the first two we picked ended up taking our time together.

Tijd geleden dat ik het speelde, maar je pakt het vijf minuten op en je weet alweer waarom #TickettoRide een moderne klassieker is. Wat een geweldig bordspel is dat toch.
Als toetje vandaag #JustOne, een hilarisch coöperatief spel waarin je teamgenoten hints moeten geven zodat jij een woord kan raden. Maar dubbele hints worden weggestreept… :-)

This morning's litterpicking find was a Lithuanian receipt up a hill in the Welsh Borders. A return train ticket from Vilnius to Trakai. What story shall we tell to explain it? A globetrotting Russian spy keeping tabs on Ukrainian refugees? A USian tourist on a speedrun through Europe? A twinning committee? Trakai isn't twinned with anywhere in the UK yet so maybe we should make them an offer? Sveiki lietuviai!
