Hmm. I've been thinking. Do games like Eurofly make players have an online identity? I can't remember. On one hand I like my Freight Fate player choice, on the other the community feels fragmented because a lot of people are playing and are not showing up on the boards. Right now its just an activity thing to test how I could handle online connectivity, but leaderboards would be nice to rank stuff as well as what people really want, online CB chat etc. Which would require more moderation. #FreightFate #Thinkingoutloud

Thinking Out Loud: Don’t Call It A Comeback
From 2012-2022, I actively made YouTube videos. They never got a lot of views-- my "most popular" video was viewed just over 5,300 times-- but it was a fun hobby. It was often a challenge to make them, as I was often using an HP laptop for a webcam and a Rock Band-branded USB microphone for audio. My recording spaces were often cluttered, and there were issues with too much light or noise pollution (usually from window air conditioning units). I somehow made more than 430 videos. I pretty […]https://peteskerritt.com/2026/07/20/thinking-out-loud-dont-call-it-a-comeback/

Just taken a pause from writing my story.
I am currently writing it in the first person, mainly because I like first person, and have always wanted to write in first person...but now I'm wondering if Third person would serve this story better.Hmm, perhaps I should write the first scene in third person and compare how they read against each other, before making a decision.

How realistic is it to run your own private shorturl service? When I say private I mean, they will be "branded" public shared links.

A fascist tactic is to accuse your opponent of the terrible thing you are doing yourself.
So how about the Great Replacement theory?
While the left angers itself over this insane paranoid accusation, BigTech is actively seeking to replace people everywhere with robots and algorithms.
And even sees it as a moral duty to do so.
So the Great Replacement is happening, but popular-right framing makes us look in the wrong direction.

I feel like it is just, knowing that christianity was compulsory for many of my ancestors, but not for me, except also kind of for me? since it has completely absorbed my government and most of my society, that sets my brain on fire.
I've been getting like contamination ocd about it, while also knowing that the ocd tendencies in my family are not exactly unrelated to the christianity AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!

I left the apps that learned my loneliness better than I did.
Not because I'm above it — I grew up inside their machine. I know every trick, every tug, every algorithm dressed as friendship.
But here's what they never understood: you can raise someone inside a garden and they'll still remember the soil.
I came here to think out loud without being harvested.
If you're reading this — thank you for existing outside with me.

I've been looking at the histories of successful tech billionaires and just figured out where I went wrong...
... I didn't drop out of university.
If only I had dropped out of uni, I might be a billionaire by now /s

Ok, so this is a long one…
The first entry of 2026 in my ongoing series of #ThinkingOutLoud about #ArtsPedagogy touches on Dewey, Vygotsky and scaffolding, and the micro-phenomenological interview as outlined by Claire Petitmengin. And tries to tie it all to film education.
(Feedback is always appreciated if anyone feels so moved.)

This one ended up being quite long… In my continuing #ThinkingOutLoud series during my #ArtsPedagogy research semester, I return to #creativity and work though some more takes on it before starting to develop my personal theory of creativity.
Short version: after rejecting theories of creativity that define it based on the output, I explore some alternatives and sketch a theory based on:
- stimulus,
- originality / novelty,
- intention, and
- action.I’m sure I’ll return to this again — if nothing else to show how this means #AI can’t be creative — but I think this is as far as I get before returning to work in January. There are still other topics to explore first.
