Three good things:

One of the better purchases I've made lately was springing for a longer hose for my shower head.
Instead of fighting with a lousy 1.5m - I opted for a 2m connection. Game changer.

Nobody was occupying training equipment I wanted to use this morning. Yah.

I woke 10 minutes before the alarm clock. I hate being woken by the alarm.

Yes, I don't have many good big things going on, so taking the small wins as well.

So the pigeon who has been nesting in the crab apple tree outside my window has two of the ugliest babies you ever did see. And I mean that in the nicest way possible. #TheSmallThings #SpreadingJoy (second wee one almost totally hidden at the back, so you’ll need look closely)

Current view from my face at half nine in the evening. I can hear the hedgehog family rootling about in the shrubbery, a blackbird is providing an evening serenade, and everything else is still. Perfection! #TheSmallThings #SpreadingJoy

And out of the oven, having had 35 mins at 200c. They smell amazing and will make about 9/10 portions of chicken (in things like salad, or with rice and veggies). #TheSmallThings #SpreadingJoy #cooking

Making baked chicken breasts from the pack I found in the reduced section yesterday. They spent the night marinating in yoghurt mixed with lemon juice & ras el hanout spice mix. It’s the last day of May and the last of my #TheSmallThings #SpreadingJoy for a bit, as I go off for a social media free June. The walled garden at Attingham is delightful at the moment - as the next of week or so of #TheSmallThings #SpreadingJoy photos will attest - but I want to start off with this unexpected poppy growing at the top of one of the walls; may we all be this vibrant and tenacious!

Yesterday I sanded down and treated the wooden table & bench in my garden and cut back the shrub that was severely encroaching on the path at the corner of the house. Today I will balance my weekend out by mostly resting, writing, and enjoying the last of the blossom.

It is Friday, the sun is shining, I’ve had a 4 mile walk this morning, and today the rhododendrons are a bright, beautiful yellow! #TheSmallThings #SpreadingJoy
